I had a lot of trouble catching Giratina in Platinum. I had no status inflicting moves, and had trouble staying alive long enough to catch him. I also did NOT feel like trying to leave the reverse world to do so, so I just kept trying. :w

but its harder to catch them with pokeballs. thats why i use ultraballs

The difference in catch rates between poke balls and ultra balls is negligible at best. It doesn't really matter which ones you use. I tend to use dusk balls the most though. (Though they are so annoying to find >_> )
